Jumping in beer first

Lock 27 Brewing started as a small batch brewer in Centerville just a few years ago. To draw patrons to their high quality beers they opened a Gastropub featuring elevated lunch and dinner fare. The destination was a hit but with the increased attention on the restaurant and an eye on beer distribution, it was important to tighten up the brand positioning and lead with the beer.

Solidify the brand elements

Our starting point with L27 was Brand Clarity. In order to communicate a clear, confident message about the brewery and their beers we had to get to the heart of their differentiators and discover the authentic brand personality.

Pairing research and brand work sessions, we developed a full Brand Book for Lock 27 including a new Tagline, Brand Personality Traits, Positioning Platform, Color Palette and more. From there we launched a new website carrying these traits forward. Since launch, we’ve been asked by L27 to lead their social media ongoing and advise on digital marketing strategy.

Prost! It’s Loktoberfest time!

As the brand has progressed and grown, so has the design. We adapted the direction from the brand clarity process and applied it to the design of the Loktoberfest logo and print assets. Utilizing traditional Oktoberfest imagery and mixing in Lock 27’s look and feel allows for an instantly recognizable design that fits within the existing L27 experience.

Results

We’re still early in the on-going marketing for Lock 27 but indicators are already showing increased engagement on social media and new campaigns are drawing interest and driving traffic to their two locations.
